Tim Richardson is a winner

By: admin

Tim Richardson held off a hard-charging Sam Hillier to win the November segment of the All Four Cheeks Ultimate Short Attention Span Hockey Pool.
Richardson's lead dwindled from 29 points to just 16 in a matter of a few days but he took first prize with a total of 451 points through the games of Nov. 30. Hillier was next at 435, followed by Michael Webb at 423, Chris Yiu at 412, Keri Kettle at 405, Matthew MacFarlane at 403, Fran Costello at 394, Rob Bioletti and Dustin Moreau at 391 and Sandy Henderson at 390.
Complete results for all 86 players will follow soon.
Richardson can thank Milan Lucic for his 100 hits, Tim Connolly for missing 17 games, Jonathan Toews for his 59 shots, Johan Franzen for a quartet of game-winners, Zach Parise for going plus-10, Sheldon Souray for scoring four powerplay goals and Ryan Hollweg for getting suspended.
Richardson will no doubt enjoy his tickets to the Dec. 16 Oiler game against the Chicago Blackhawks, and the rest of you will enjoy the fact he cannot win the abbreviated December segment of the pool.
That's right. It's up for grabs again. The pool leader through games of Dec. 15 will win the final pair of lower bowl Oiler tickets.
So pay attention!

Falling Stars look to regroup

By: admin

Didn't you guys used to be the Dallas Stars? You'd never know it from the cellar-dwelling company they'd been keeping this season prior to last night's 4-3 win over the Oilers, but the Stars were two wins away from advancing to the Stanley Cup final last year.
